‘Akathistos’ is a dramatic modern version of a hymn which reputedly saved the inhabitants of Byzantium from destruction by the Persians in 626 AD. Commissioned by Cantata Dramatica from Nick and Tony Bicât in 2018, it was first performed at St Steven Walbrook in January 2019.

‘Between Sea and Sky’ comprises choral settings of three highly atmospheric Greek poems dating from the fourth to the sixth century AD. Commissioned by Cantata Dramatica from Solfa Carlile in 2016,  with poems translated by Nick Pitts-Tucker, it was first performed at St George’s, Bristol in 2018.

‘Conference of the Birds’ is based on a poem by 12th Century Sufi poet, Farid ud din Attar. Commissioned by Cantata Dramatica from Danyal Dhondy in 2020, with libretto by Nick Pitts-Tucker, it was first performed at Cumberland Lodge in September 2020.

The ‘Missa Aedes Christi’, commissioned in 2012, is the result of an artistic collaboration between composer Francis Grier, conductor Stephen Darlington, and dancer and choreographer Ross McKim. It was first performed in Christ Church Cathedral,, Oxford in 2013.
